Three Things to Make the Holidays Complete
Every year it's a tradition; the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the whole family gets together and starts pulling out the Christmas gear from the attic. We don't put up the tree until later in December, but the decorations get put out pretty early. We haul boxes and boxes up from the basement, but one box never gets sent down to the basement, because it's just too valuable; that box has the Lenox Christmas china in it.
Some people may think that having special Lenox Christmas china is absurd. You eat off of regular plates 11 months of the year, why do you need special dinnerware for the holidays? How is eating off of special plates going to make a memory for years to come?
It's simple; Lenox Christmas china can help to bring your whole holiday together. There are three things you need to have a good holiday: a Christmas tree, your family coming home from wherever they live, and a good meal.
The Christmas tree is easy; it doesn’t matter if you have a fake or real Christmas tree, what’s important is that you decorate it with ornaments that you've collected (and treasured) all of these years. A good meal is a bit more difficult, but still possible. Every family has certain recipes that seem to be served at every family function (my family is famous for an easy rice casserole that you can make in the microwave, but no one would ever guess that you did). Any meal on Christmas is going to be an excellent meal, but if you are eating it off of your Lenox Christmas china it's going to taste even more special. The third thing you need for Christmas is to have everybody come home. This is the most difficult to achieve, because everyone is so busy. If you can achieve all three of these things, this is going to be one of the rare Christmases that you remember for a long time.
